CAREER OPURTUNITIES AFTER CLASS 10

1. Class12 normally taken by students after receiving their School Leaving Certificate. In the Indian subcontinent, it is also said as Higher Secondary Examination. It provides three main streams, to start the higher education after
Class10.

1.2. Commerce is generally a business stream. It can also be called as “Game of numbers” since it deals with
Mathematics, Accountings, Statistics, Economics, etc. It provides career opportunities as CA, Banker, Finance
Manager, HR, Accounting executive, etc. Commerce offers complete commercial knowledge which helps in the business sector. The world of the Stock Market relies on commerce education, which is the bone marrow of the Nation’s economy.

1.3. Arts or Humanities. It has many streams to choose such as Electives Indian languages like Odia, Hindi,
Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and so on. Few Elective Foreign languages like English, French, German, Italian,
Spanish, Latin, and so on. It provides career opportunities like Translator, Interpreter, Foreign language intelligence role, Local and Foreign language teacher, Customer service position, Linguist job in military, Blogger, or online content creator.
The Arts and humanities have a broad subject line and opportunities like Psylogist, Economist, Geo-Scientist,
Archaeologist, Politician, Philosopher where students can opt subject like Psychology, Economics, Geography,

2. Diploma provides different Engineering and non Engineering categories. One can choose a diploma degree and
or a post-graduate diploma to achieve their career goals.
Why Diploma?
As per the latest trends and due to the increase in demand, a variety of diploma courses are available for students who wish to take up a job-oriented course early in their career. Another advantage is that students can also pursue government jobs after completing diploma programs.2.1. Diploma in Engineering is a program focused on practical and skill-oriented training. It is a technical course that only covers the essentials when ranked with an undergraduate engineering degree. It provides students with industry or job-related engineering knowledge. Few Streams in Technical Diploma are Aeronautical Engineer,
Automobile Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, computer science, Electrical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Electronics and
Telecommunication Engineer, Diploma in Plastic Technology, Diploma in Ceramic Technology, etc.

2.2. Diploma in Vocational Training is a skill-based course which a student can pursue Class 10 in courses like DPharmacy, Diploma in Dental Mechanics, Graphics & Multimedia, Diploma in Cyber-Security, Diploma in Fire &
Safety, Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in 3d animation, Fashion Designing, jewelry Design, Insurance
and Marketing in diploma courses is also available for the students.

2.3. Other Diploma Courses is a sub-category of Diploma which comes under Arts, Dance, Music, Farm
Management, DCA, Yuga, Diploma in beauty care, Diploma in Cosmetology, Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma in
commercial practice, etc.

specific field. ITI stands for Industrial Training Institute who provides industry-ready training to students after
Class 10.

3.1. ITI in Technical Education
The different technical courses which a student can opt for is Diesel Mechanics, Information Technology, Computer
Hardware, Fabrication, Lift Mechanics, Sheet metal, Electrician, Fitter, Plumber, Radiology, Draughtsman,
Electronic Mechanic, Mechanic(Mechatronics), Surveyor …etc.

3.2. ITI in Non-Technical Education
The different Non-technical courses which a student can opt is ITI in Baker, Leather Goods Maker, Bleaching &
Dyeing Calico paints, Hand compositor, Food production unit, Dress Making, Footwear Manufacturing.
The public/government sector is considered as one of the biggest employees to ITIs students and there are several options for making a career after ITI. Various public sector units (PSUs) like railway, state-wise PWDs,
BSNL, IOCL, ONGC, and many more provide job opportunities for ITI students. ITI students can also explore job opportunities in the Indian army, Indian navy, BSF, CRPF, and other paramilitary forces. Students can also find jobs in sectors like a great opportunity for students to pursue a career after ITI. There is a high demand for skilled workers in India and abroad. Hence, ITIs provides a great opportunity to those who are interested in finding a
successful career after ITI.

4. Skill Training Courses are designed to provide employees with the targeted training they need to gain the knowledge and abilities necessary to fulfill the specific requirements of their job positions. Skill training can also be used to re-educate and retrain employees whenever new technology.

6. Other Courses
There are other few other courses which you can opt for after Class 10 are paramedical courses, Insurance Agent…etc
